Sydney Summer Twilight Series
From CoolRunning Australia
This is a 5 and 10K time trial series in the Sydney Metro area over the Summer. Races are held in the twilight so that runners can race after work. All standards welcome. Check the Forum thread for latebreaking information.
Here is a very useful website for calculating sunrise/sunset time in Sydney over the summer. A good place to look up civil twilight end "lighting up time" (typically about half an hour after sunset) is this other useful but not quite as self-explanatory website.

Philosophy
"First and foremost, ALL ability levels are welcome. However long it takes you to complete the distance is the time it takes you to complete the distance. Anyone who believes that there should be a time limit criteria has got the wrong series. Whether you hop skip walk fart hobble run to get the distance is irrelevant, turning up and having a go is what it is all about. If you are worried about this being elitist, you couldn't be further off the mark." CR Silverfox
Entry Fees
There are no entry fees. Events are not officially sanctioned, and runners share the paths with the general public.
IMPORTANT!!- Check the Forum thread for latebreaking information.
Season 2009/10
Thanks everyone for your contributions to another terrific series, and to Daniel Toscano from Elite Sports for providing the lucky draw prize. See you all next year!
