STARS SET SIGHTS ON FLORA SYDNEY MARATHON
22 October 2001The Flora Sydney Marathon and Sunday Telegraph 10K Bridge Run will take place this Sunday 28 October, starting at 7am, with Japanese superstar and Olympic marathon gold medallist Naoki Takahashi headlining the participants.
Joining Takahashi on the start line for the mass participation event will be Australian marathon legend Steve Moneghetti, Paralympic gold medallist Louise Sauvage, Olympic marathon representative and Australian 5000m record holder Lee Troop, Goodwill Games 10,000m bronze medallist Susie Power and Paralympic medallist Paul Nunnari.
The Flora Sydney Marathon will be staged as an annual legacy of the 2000 Sydney Games, showcasing the city's magnificent sporting facilities and spectacular sights.
