MEDIA CALL AND PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
25 October 20012.00pm - FRIDAY 26 OCTOBER 2001 MRS MACQUARIE'S CHAIR, SYDNEY
Two great races, the inaugural 42.2 km Flora Sydney Marathon and The Sunday Telegraph Bridge Run take place this Sunday.
More than 7,000 runners are expected to follow the official Olympic route - the famous blue line - from North Sydney to Fox Studios or Homebush Bay.
For an opportunity to discuss the event and talk to key entrants preparing for their big race, a media preview is being held on Friday at Mrs Macquarie's Chair.
The following people will be available for interviews and photographs:
- John Watkins, NSW Minister for Sport and Recreation
- Naoko Takahashi, Olympic marathon champion and this year's Race Ambassador.
- Lee Troop, Australian 5000m record holder and entrant in The Sunday Telegraph 10K Bridge Run
- Paul Nunnari, Australian Paralympic marathon representative and entrant in the Flora Sydney Marathon.
