Glasshouse Mountain Trail Runs

The Glasshouse Mountain Trail Runs are held at and around the Glasshouse Mountains just inland from the Sunshine Coast, about an hours drive north from Brisbane, Queensland Australia. All events start at the Cobb & Co shed at Beerburrum. The 100 mile event is highly significant to Australian Ultra Trail Running, as it is the first offering of a 100 mile trail run in this country.

Ian Javes, the Race Director, has completed the Western States 100 mile in the USA, amongst numerous other ultra running events and is a very accomplished runner in his own right. He has "sold his soul" to trail running and so only organises trail events now. However, he puts such a lot of effort into organising them - they ae first rate affairs and well worth making the trek out to the Glasshouse Region.
