Bogong to Hotham

Imagine hiking 64km along Victoria's Alpine ceiling from Mt Bogong to Mt Hotham. You would camp overnight, delight in being able to snuggle up in your sleeping bag during those fresh, cool nights, a world away from the often unbearable summer nights down below. You would take your time, marveling at the sights from Victoria's wonderful peaks. Now, instead of walking and camping and taking your time, imagine running it, all 64km of it. This event is not for the faint hearted. The course has an overall climb of more than 3000 metres and an overall descent of about 2000 metres, over a distance of approximately 64km. The scenery is spectacular, with much of the run being above the tree line. It's the Bogong to Hotham Trail Run, otherwise known as the "Rooftop Run".
