Next Race : 18th-24th November 2007 - Runner discussion for 2007 here
This event is the only Six Day Race held within Australia, and now has a long history since 1983 when the event was started originally for the legendary Cliff Young. It now attracts a world-class field of long distance athletes. It was known as the Colac Six Day Race until early 2004 when it was renamed The Cliff Young Australian 6-day race in memory of Cliff Young who sadly passed away just before the 2003 race. The event has undergone a resurrection since the mid-1990s and is now truly a World Class Six Day Event in terms of numbers of runners and depth of field - not least Yiannis Kouros broke the World Record here in 2005.
