Dave Taylor attempt on world record for running on a treadmill for 7 days

Former Kembla Jogger and Ultra Marathoner Dave Taylor will attempt to break the world record for running 717.85km's on a treadmill for 7 days. And in doing so will enter the Guinness Book of Records. Dave will be attempting to break the record from the Foyer of Wests Illawarra which will be open to the General Public for 21hrs a day.


You too can play a part in this record by helping him along the way, simply just go into the Club Foyer and sat hello to Dave, he is a very approachable chap, or if you feel energetic enough ask Dave about having a go on the spare treadmill next to him which is provided for any person who wants to have a go on it, simply make a donation to the Charity on hand and you can have a go or if you can be sponsored by someone let Dave know.


All sponsorship money that is raised will be donated to the Aerial Patrol that provides the safety on all our beaches which is a great cause, we all use the beach. A number of Celebrities will be doing a 1hr session on the treadmill including Sharon Bird, Rod Wishart, Paul McGregor, Marty and Erica form I98. Kembla Joggers have issued a challenge out to all its runners to see who can run the most km's in 1hour. Marty Weston is leading the way with a $200 sponsorship, can anyone beat that????????. A prize will be given to Male/Female and also a junior runner which will be a time limit of 20 minutes. Come on get your racing shoes on come down to West Illawarra they sponsor us, have Tea at the Club and lend Dave a hand. The record attempt will Start on Saturday 29/09/07 at 8.00pm and finish on Saturday 6/10/07.
